Corlene completed her undergraduate dental training at the University of Pretoria in 2011. She later completed a four-year full-time specialization course leading to a degree in Oral Medicine and Periodontics with distinction (Cum Laude) at the University of Pretoria in 2017.

A research article by her was published in the February 2018 edition of the Journal of Implant Dentistry.

She became a Fellow of the Team for Implantology (ITI) in 2018. She presented a lecture at the ITI National congress in July 2019.

Corlene is currently giving lectures both nationally and internationally, and is involved in training and education of dentists.
